Field meter rental

We rent radiation meters (WaveControl SMP2, Narda, Microrrad) to:

  • Engineering companies that are carrying out works for the implementation of emitting equipment.
  • Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP) companies for the measurement and control of electromagnetic fields.
  • Firms and professionals in annual measurement and/or implementation campaigns.
  • Other installations where electromagnetic field measurements are required (power plants, transformer stations, etc.).
  • Companies wishing to legally comply with their emission levels according to RD 1066/2001 of September 28th.
  • Any other situation in which it is desired to know and measure the level of electromagnetic radiation in an area or point.

PRL FIELD METERS

The regulation of prevention services is defined Royal Decree 39/1997, January 17, last updated in 2015 by Royal Decree 899/2015 establishes in Article 5 the evaluation of occupational risks, which includes the performance of measurements, tests and analyses deemed necessary to ensure the health and welfare of workers.

Measurement of electromagnetic fields can be part of this risk assessment:

  • Field-operated machinery: electromagnets, particle accelerators, spectrographic analyzers, etc.
  • Large electrical currents: furnaces, heavy machinery, robots, automation, etc.
  • There are strong current transients: welding, sparks, motors.

 

APPROVED AND RELIABLE EQUIPMENT

Our commitment is to work exclusively with measuring equipment capable of performing legal metrology. Non-approved or non-calibrated equipment can only give "orientative" indications without legal validity. In any equipment rental (with us or with any other company) must be required:

  •  Equipment calibration certificates. Maximum two years old for the isotropic probe and 3 years old for the field measuring equipment.
  • That the frequencies to be measured are within the range of measurement, homologation and calibration of the equipment.
  • That the equipment has the capabilities to measure according to the protocol established by RD 1066/2001 in terms of averaging time and characteristics of the isotropic probe.

 

ALL FREQUENCY BANDS

We have probes for (almost) all frequency bands that can occur in the most common cases. From 1Hz to 18Ghz. Covers the telephone band

emissions, emissions from power transmission and transformation, transformer stations, high and medium voltage (50Hz). Also most of the frequency bands in new 5G deployments.

AVAILABLE METERS

WaveControl SMP2 + WPF 18 and WP400 are available.

For this equipment, two probes for low and high frequency measurement are available for rent. The WPF18 probe covers, with a sensitivity of 0.5V/m, the entire frequency band from 300 Khz to 18GHz.

The WP400 probe covers the entire band for low frequency radio measurements from 1Hz to 400Khz.

On PMM 8053 is a measurement equipment proven in all these environments and can mount various types of probes, in broadband or low frequency. Other brands and equipment that have also demonstrated good results in the field are:

  • Microrad NHT 310 + Probe 01E (in its most general purpose), or with other specific probes.
  • Narda ELT 400 (currently manages all former PMM products).
